POST-GUDAGUDA LEGEND OF THE IMPERIAL CAPITAL GRAIL
First Impressions
Strong hobo vibes. He looks like a guy who possibly wears something until he can't and could stand to run a comb through his hair once in awhile. He has a fairly soft, youthful face. He is intensely expressive and depending on what sort of face he's making his look can change pretty dramatically; an irritated scowl can make him look so much older and more severe that it might even be surprising how boyish he looks when he laughs.
Izō has very permanent dark circles at this point and always looks like he could use a lot more sleep (or a lot less drinking).
His canine teeth are noticeably more pointed and "fang-like" than the average. This along with his shaggy hair that gets in his face is probably why he's been compared to a fluffy dog in the past.
Appearance
Izō dresses like the old-fashioned rōnin that he is. He does seem to incorporate a few Western-style or more "modern" accessories when it suits him, such as choosing to wear Western-style shoes most of the time. He will also wear traditional sandals, presumably when more stealth might be required. He will also sometimes don an Imperial Army Officer's cap. Maybe he likes the style?
Most of his clothing looks like it's seen plenty of wear to the point of being ragged in places. He favours scarves and tends to wear them so they partially hide his face and neck. He always carries two swords — an uchigatana and a wakizashi.
He has a naturally darker complexion and bright yellow-gold eyes that at times might appear to take on a reddish tint in the light. He doesn't have a very large build but no one could say he was delicate. He has plenty of lean, wiry muscle hardened by years of training, fighting, and hard living.

Notable Features
As one would expect, a hard life involving combat has left him with numerous scars. The most obvious one is likely to be the uneven scar that loops completely around his neck, as a result of the manner of his death.
There are also plenty of healed over wounds in various random places but just as many, if not more that seem too perfect or deliberate to have been acquired in battle, such as the stripe-like parallel lines he has on both shins.

Abilities
SKILLS 𐄂 MAGIC
MAN-SLAYER: A
A swordsmanship skill that specializes in the killing of men. It's a practical skill, the sole purpose of which is victory. There is not an ounce of higher truth-seeking mentality or philosophy to its performance. It is therefore powerful and weak at the same time.
SWIFT AND POWERFUL AS A FALCON: A
A phrase that described Izō's skill with a sword during his training years in Edo.Izō learned from various disciplines, but he never trained seriously at any school, having left them all midway, and so never mastered any of them.
In Izō's opinion, all the schools and disciplines were inferior compared to his natural talent.
SHIMATSUKEN
Sword of Settlement.Man-slayer Izō's heretical sword. The Noble Phantasm allows the wielder to recreate any sword technique that he has seen, even if only once, and use it as his own.
When summoned initially, he would only know the sword techniques he knew during his lifetime, but as he witnesses other techniques along the way, he has the potential to strengthen himself even more.
However, there is still a limitation on the techniques that he can recreate: they will need to be Anti-Personnel, and anything that is reliant upon special characteristics of the Noble Phantasm cannot be recreated.
ANIMAL MAGIC
Talk to animals, transform into animals, partial animal transformations with significant practice (give yourself ears, tail, etc. but mostly retain human form — a very finicky practice).May have some side-effects, like not being able to turn back if you’re too tired or learning your pets really are judgmental.
Can persuade animals to go along with their plans at times, but cannot fully control their actions.
This only works with natural animals, not familiars.
SIPHON MAGIC
Siphon magic from other sources, such as magical or cursed objects, and either redirect it as energy blasts or absorb it to temporarily juice up physical strength.Gives mages the ability to purify curses. It is possible to absorb magic from living beings to temporarily prevent them from using it, but this requires a couple minutes of direct contact with the person.
Effects may last anywhere from a couple hours to a couple of days. (To be used with player permission only.)
Failure to utilize absorbed magic can result in severe pain to the user, so it must be used within a few hours after it is siphoned. (The more magic siphoned, the quicker it must be expelled.)
Familiar

NAME

SPECIES
Inugami
Description
Capable of changing sizes like other familiars, Izō's familiar tends to take the form of a scruffy little dog that looks something like a Pomeranian. And like Izō himself, if he were a Pomeranian. It seems to have a friendlier demeanour, at least...In times of danger or duress, it can also grow much larger in size and change its shape, taking on a far more monstrous appearance. Its body type will more closely resemble a Tosa Inu while its previously shaggy fur may form shadowy tentacles at the fullest extent of its transformation.

DEMEANOUR & ATTITUDE
Izō is short-tempered, rude, and stubborn and he makes no effort to change this or attempts to hide it. He sees no point in pretending he's anything but a man-slayer and very upfront about what he does. His usual manner of speaking is coarse; even for the Master's birthday, his line is something to the effect of "It's your birthday? Whatever, fuck if I know." He's not very smart — by his own assertion — and insists on keeping things uncomplicated, at least when it comes to dealing with other people.Izō is more than capable of being nice if he feels like it. Naturally, those who are similar in interest and disposition would get on with him the easiest as he's always looking for an excuse to have a good time. Additionally, he's willing to be at least civil to those who are more patient and able to ignore his arrogance and volatility. He doesn't seem to know what to do with softer emotions when he has them and is terrible at masking what he's feeling. It makes him feel vulnerable, so he'll generally cover up those moments by being extra abrasive.
Izō considers himself a genius with the blade — a claim that is well-supported — and he's extremely arrogant when it comes to his skills. He will freely insult other swordsmen but he cannot take what he dishes out at all. Izō takes great personal offence to any criticisms (or what he might interpret as a criticism) of his skills. He hates being laughed at or feeling like someone is mocking him and will respond with sudden rage and potentially violence.
biography
Considered to be one of the four great assassins of the Bakumatsu Period, his nickname "Man-slayer Izō" was well-earned. Ono Ittouryu, Kyoushin Meichiryu, and Jikishiryu are just some of the disciplines in which he was trained. After carrying out multiple assassinations, he was eventually captured and executed. While he can be boastful of his talents and tends to look down upon other swordsmen, his talent with the sword, often described as being "as swift and powerful as a falcon," was undoubtedly remarkable.
Okada Izō, an expert at acting in meting out divine punishment.
Among all eras of Japanese history, the Bakumatsu period was said to have been the age when killing another with the katana was most common. As one of the leading man-slayers, Izō's swordsmanship is on par with a Saber, despite being an Assassin. He was best friends with Sakamoto Ryouma during his lifetime, and he would accept Ryouma's request to work as a bodyguard at times. But the turbulent tides of the time would eventually split the two men apart.
Okada Izō — a man who had an exceptional gift with the blade, being able to mimic any skill or style simply by watching it. With this terrifying talent, Izō was thrust into the Bakumatsu period, becoming an extraordinary killer.
Touted as the master of divine punishment, Izō was one of the prominent man-slayers in Japanese history, having undertaken many assassinations. He was, however, never successful as a true swordsman.
Whether it was because of the change in times or some twist of fate, this genius of the sword was sadly never able to hone his talent nor develop his skill.
